According to Dante's conception, Hell is a
funnel-shaped cavity - a vast cavern that
grows smaller as it descends a series of
cliff-like ledges constituting the nine
circles of Hell. Using Botticelli's drawings
for Dante's Inferno as a landscape, Wesley
Mulvin's Hell Passport is a series of
proposals for monuments to be erected
in each of the circles of Hell.
