Rebecca Dolen grew up in Calgary, Alberta,
and moved to Vancouver in 1998 to live by
the sea and experience the finer things of
life in British Columbia. After graduating from
Emily Carr in 2003, she worked for two years
mastering her screen printing technique while
working chump screen printing jobs. Before
long these chump jobs started to wear on
Rebecca’s creativity and starting a new
venture, with good friend and business genius
Brandy Fedoruk, seemed to be the only path
to happiness. Together, they opened a store
called The Regional Assembly of Text, featuring
their very own line of handicrafts. When she
isn’t running The Assembly of Text, she spends
most of her free time investigating the connection
between foot shape and food preference, after
recently discovering she has identical feet and
a very similar taste palate to her grandmother on
her mother’s side.
